Joe Rogan’s latest comments about Donald Trump sparked new chatter online after the podcaster poked fun at the president’s texting habits.
The conversation unfolded during a recent episode of the “Joe Rogan Experience,” where Rogan sat down with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and shared a surprisingly vivid description of Trump’s messages.
The exchange added another layer to a relationship that has swung from praise to sharp criticism over the past year.
Rogan Demonstrates Trump’s Oversized Texts
Rogan recounted that Trump often uses the “big” iMessage effect—an animation that causes the message to burst across the entire screen. He even mimicked the effect during the show, raising his hands as if the words were inflating.
One of the examples Rogan mentioned: “USA is RESPECTED again,” typed in all caps and sent with the enlarging animation.
Rogan described the habit as “kind of ridiculous,” adding that Trump texts like a “79-year-old kid.”
The podcaster also remarked that Trump is an “odd guy,” noting that his private demeanor is “very different” from the public image most people recognize.
Their Shift From Alliance to Tension

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Rogan enthusiastically boosted Trump, often speaking highly of him on-air. He claimed that many well-known public figures privately thanked him for the support. Trump even joined the podcast for a sprawling three-hour conversation, which drew an enormous audience—38 million views in just three days.
Kamala Harris, on the other hand, never made it on the show, despite publicly stating that she attempted to secure an interview multiple times.
Rogan’s Break From Trump’s Policies
The once-friendly dynamic dimmed in recent months as Rogan criticized Trump’s aggressive immigration crackdown. His remarks targeted the administration’s workplace raids, calling them “f***ing nuts.” He argued that enforcement should prioritize drug traffickers and cartel networks instead of migrant workers.
Rogan continued challenging Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was fraudulent. Although he previously entertained the conversation during Trump’s 2024 podcast appearance—drawing a comparison between questioning election integrity and being labeled an “anti-vaxxer”—his position has shifted.
Calling Out Election Claims

Rogan now says he does not believe Trump’s administration has offered solid proof that former President Joe Biden rigged the election.
Speaking in August, Rogan made his stance clear. “I don’t think they have any evidence,” he said, addressing allegations that have circulated since the election. While he acknowledged lingering concerns over mail-in ballots and cybersecurity, he did not validate Trump’s broader claims.
A Cooling Relationship
As Trump faces declining approval ratings and intensified criticism over immigration, the distance between the two has become harder to ignore. A relationship that once looked politically aligned now seems defined by friction, shaped by policy disagreements and Rogan’s candid stories about Trump’s private habits.
The shift was clear in a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. Past conversations that generated widespread attention and mutual praise have given way to a more skeptical tone, with Rogan mixing light mockery — including jokes about Trump’s texting — with deeper disagreements over immigration and election claims.
